Pattern Curator Notes
Another look at all the natural textile dye effects. For the dip dye, this is more of an ombre enhancing the natural bleed of dyes on fabric. What’s interesting about this trend is that it is showing up on all fabrications, not just natural textiles. The most common and known is on cottons. Starting to see this technique in synthetics and synthetic blends. Color is as organic as the technique itself. Multi-levels of saturation, either controlled or by accident - in both cases, it all depends on the fabrication and execution. In overall aesthetics, the ombre dip dye effect has the perfect blend of soft and hard.
