What you get when you subscribe as a paid member

the what, who, how, why…..

As a paid subscriber to the Membership site, you get to see the big picture of where the free mood boards are coming from. Although each mood board may seem arbitrary or just a free-flow of ideas - which they can be for the most part. The reality is each mood board stems from bigger trend forecast idea. As color, print & pattern inspiration needs grow, so does Pattern Curator. The purpose of the Membership site is share all the vital inspiration with a curated and focused point of view that’s not limited or prescriptive.

The main person we are targeting is someone who is extremely passionate about color, print & pattern design. You could already be an established professional or just starting our your design career. You may be a textile, print or surface designer looking for relevant ideas to create your next group. You may be a retailer or store owner who needs supplemental inspiration to your already existing subscription to a larger trend service. Maybe you are curious as to what kind of inspiration and/ or information is needed to actually develop a collection of prints & patterns incessantly and consistently. Who the paid membership is not for is - someone who is not interested in future color, print and pattern trends and ideas. The membership site is a constant stimulus or stream of inspiration. As a paid member you do get the benefits of having inspiration sourced and curated for you so you can focus on what you do best - design more.

Pattern Curator offers different levels of membership - monthly, 6 months or yearly options.

macro trends

Within each Macro Trend are smaller ideas that can inspire separate print & pattern collections. Within the smaller ideas are other ideas that can come from something less conceptual, maybe a little more concrete like what’s being shown on the runways.

image library

Inspiration can come from anywhere. Sometimes we don’t need a full board of images to let the creativity run. Having this creative freedom can be less overwhelming when sifting through a curated collection of imagery with a specific seasonal point of view.

print motif ideas

The world needs a new iteration of a print every season. As a designer, the quest or the task is how to update that motif and what are the nuances that make it new.

pattern techniques

Sometimes a pattern isn’t a print. A yarn dye plaid could be printed and times it’s a woven pattern. Looking at techniques separately to prints inspires new possibilities.

color combos

Focusing in on a few colors and exploring the combinations is inspiring. It can also be a daunting task on deciding where to start from. The Membership site breaks down color ideas into smaller trend stories.

runway recap

Done the Pattern Curator way, curated and put together as small trend stories within the trend stories. This was just started for Resort 19, now adding Spring 19 and future seasons to come.
